We offer services to those who are able to pay out of pocket, those who have Long Term Care Insurance, and we contract with SCDHHS to provide nonmedical home care services to SC Medicaid participants.

Our story

Back in 2020, Cheeri founder Kenan Hopkins read an article about the struggles caregivers face while working in the industry. With over a decade of experience running people-centric companies and consulting with others on culture initiatives, Kenan decided to join the home care industry with a new approach – truly prioritize those who choose to spend their lives working with us.

Cheeri was launched in February 2021 and by the end of April, we had completed our first acquisition in York County, SC. Just 24 months later, Cheeri had grown from a simple idea to over 160 employees who serve over 130 clients each week.

While growth is fun, our goal isn’t to be the biggest. Our goal is to create a sustainable business that prioritizes client service by treating employees the way they deserve to be treated. That’s what Cheeri is, and that’s what we do.
